If you are a full time, part time or flex employee, you could receive $2,000 to refer a qualified candidate to the recruitment team if that person is hired full time. Qualified candidates for the $2,000 employee referral bonus are:
- Registered Nurses
- RN Patient Care Coordinators
- Pharmacist
- Medical/Histology Technologist
- Respiratory Therapist
- Physical Therapist
Bonuses are paid in 2 installments; the first 50 percent is paid after the referred employee completes 90 days of employment. The second 50 percent is paid after the referred employee completes 1 year of employment. Both employees must be employed by St. Joseph Medical Center to receive payment(s).
Process to receive a referral bonus
In order to receive any applicable referral bonus, the person completing the employment application must enter the referring employee’s name on their application. If more than one name is listed, only the first name will be eligible for the bonus.
This is an optional bonus program. Eligibility, bonus payments and timing are determined by St. Joseph Medical Center. Candidate referral bonuses are subject to the prevailing tax rate for supplemental wage payments.

Please note: Senior Leadership, Executive Council members and Human Resource employees are not eligible to receive referral bonuses. Management staff (direct or indirect) are not eligible for the employee referral bonus for anyone within their own department or unit.
