Celebrating The Act of Giving
The St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation is most grateful to our friends and supporters who recognize that philanthropy can mean the difference between a good hospital and a great one. St. Joseph's reputation for delivering loving service and compassionate care is based, in part, on the wonderful gifts that we receive. Your support allows us to provide equipment, programs, and services to the community to make our patients well in body and spirit.
Health care challenges are at the forefront of our national discussion. It has been universally acknowledged that these challenges, both fiscal and physical, will only grow more compelling in the future. Rest assured, however, that the Foundation at St. Joseph is committed to raising funds to honor the mission of the founding Sisters of St. Francis to always deliver medicine with reverence, integrity, compassion and excellence, just as the hospital has been doing for nearly 150 years. We would be delighted to speak with you about how you can partner with us as we meet and exceed the goals for outstanding quality in health care today.

“The Limo Lady” & Bill Bateman’s Bistro Join Forces to Fight Cancer
On Thursday, October 27, Joanna Fridinger, “The Limo Lady,” and Bill Bateman’s Bistro of North Plaza held a fundraiser to benefit the St. Joseph Medical Center Cancer Institute. The evening featured delicious food, lively music, a silent sports memorabilia auction, and a live basket raffle drawing -- not to mention, special guest bartenders including former Baltimore Oriole, Rick Dempsey! Hundreds of supporters showed up for this special event and over $2,000 was raised for The Cancer Institute. See photos
The Foundation Celebrates St. Joseph Volunteers at First Annual “Tea & Treats” Event
Over 80 St. Joseph Medical Center volunteers attended the first annual “Tea & Treats” tea party on Thursday, November 3, 2011, hosted by the Foundation. Volunteers enjoyed fine teas, pastries, mini tea sandwiches, and great camaraderie! Cheryl Slaski, Coordinator of Volunteer Services, was honored with a special presentation and the Volunteer Department was gifted with a Keurig Coffeemaker and a variety of coffees. The Foundation thanks each of our hospital volunteers for the hard work they do day in and day out! See photos
