Comprised of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to support programs and services that may not otherwise receive funding, the St. Joseph Medical Center Auxiliary has a history that goes back more than a century. Since its founding in 1898, the medical center's Auxiliary has grown to include over 200 members who have raised millions of dollars, helping to fund the impressive growth of St. Joseph Medical Center and its many specialized services and programs.
In 2006, the Auxiliary adopted a new name, FANS, and acronym for Friends, Alumni, Neighbors and Supporters. The new name reflects the solid membership base the group has and the new and energetic members they hope to recruit. FANS also described their special commitment to St. Joseph, dedicated "fanatics" who support the medical center unconditionally. To view upcoming FANS-sponsored events, visit the events page.
