St. Joseph Medical Center is a top surgical facility, where more than 18,000 inpatient and outpatient procedures are performed annually. The surgical staff is comprised of nearly 300 surgeons and 30 anesthesiologists. Specially trained registered nurses, technicians and administrative staff care for patient needs with competence, compassion, and respect. St. Joseph also employs full-time surgeons who cover the hospital floors, the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
