Stepping On

Free 7-week fall prevention workshop for adults 65 years and older who have previously fallen or are fearful of falling. Program focuses on strength and balance exercises, medication management, home safety, footwear, vision and mobility, in the prevention of falls. Registration required. SEVEN PART SERIES - Wednesdays, April 13 - May 25. Last day to register is Wednesday, April 20.

Stroke and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screenings

A combined screening for anyone 65 years or older with one of the following: high blood cholesterol, hypertension, tobacco use, or a personal or family history of aneurysm, stroke, or heart disease. Clogging of the carotid arteries in the neck can reduce blood flow to the brain and result in stroke. Abdominal aortic aneurysms often have no symptoms until rupture. A painless ultrasound can be used to detect both conditions. Appointment required, call 410.337.1479 to schedule.
